Shannon + Wade are that super cool couple everyone knows. They always look the best, know the best places to eat and are the most fun to be around. In getting to know them what really struck me was their genuine sincerity + kind personalities. We got to spend some time together during their engagement session at The Embarcadero and around Pier 7. This was also the first time I got to meet their dog Buster. An English Bulldog with personality to keep up with these two. I added in a few from that day into this post.
Shannon and Wade wanted a wedding day had elegant and extravagant details but also felt fun and comfortable. Getting ready was at a suite in the Westin, San Jose. Formally the historic Saint Claire built in 1926. Shannon did a traditional red dress, per their Chinese traditions, for the first part of the day. Her stiletto heels had angel wings and they were show-stopping by ever account. We headed over to Wade’s parents house for a small tea ceremony with his family.
Back at the hotel we did bridal party portraits around the lobby and in outside of the building. Historical structures are always the most inspiring for me and it was fun to include Buster in the group shots.
Everyone headed over to the Corinthian Grand Ballroom for the ceremony and reception. The Corinthian Grand Ballroom has a neoclassic design and is easily one of the most elegant buildings in Silicon Valley. Just walking up the steps feels like something out of old Hollywood.
Shannon changed into her western wedding dress and did a hair and makeup change, by the fabulous Grace Lin.
The ceremony itself took place in the main hall of the Corinthian. Shannon’s parents accompanied her down the aisle and the couple shared vows on the main stage of the venue.
We did some sunset portraits around the Ballroom and outside. The sunlight was casting such beautiful shadows in the front of the building and it was wildly fun to create some romantic images with these two. All the conditions were right for sunflares and we got so many.
The rest of the night was for speeches, dancing and cotton candy. Buster got to share the entire day. I was so lucky to cpature this one. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites below:
