Danny + Erika met in junior high school. He had a crush, she eventually came around. They start dating not soon after.
Much to the chagrin of their family + friends, they grew + stayed together.
October 27th is the Anniversary of their very first kiss and the day that they wed at the Barlow in Sebastopol, California.
The Barlow has been a special place for me as I’ve grown my business. I shot there my first full year of shooting and have captured some other greats throughout the years including one with puppies and an interior designer’s dream day.
So much nostalgia at this little in corner in Sonoma County and this one is another that makes this place so special.
Getting ready was at the Sandman in Santa Rosa. They chose to see each other for the first time down the aisle, which was lined with glass lanterns, leaves and candles. The ceremony took place in front of knitted macrame curtain made by a friend. Their colors were rich maroons, blush pinks + dark green. She stunned in white with a perfect beaded capelet, he rocked a maroon tailored suit and bow-tie.
We did portraits throughout the industrial grounds of the Barlow and over to the secret wooded area where fall had cast a spell on all the trees. They were cool enough to play around some shipping containers + we laughed all the way back to the reception for speeches, dancing, a cigar bar + pie cutting!
