About this couple…

Heather and James grew up on opposite sides of the world. James is from the United Kingdom and Heather is from right here in the states. The two met by chance and fell in love, building their lives in Northern California. They decided to have their wedding day at the historic University Club in San Francisco.

This day, in the heart of San Francisco, was wonderful start to finish. Walking into the getting ready suite was the first time I met Heather, it was like seeing an old friend. She also has the loveliest bright eyes. I met up with James and his gentlemen upstairs in the library before the guests began to arrive.

The ceremony took place upstairs in a lavish ballroom overlooking the city. The couple stood in front of the fireplace. Wedding guests gathered from all over the world. Bridesmaids dresses mismatched in an array of sparkly styles and designs. Heather wore white and the couple opted to see each other for the first time down the aisle.

A crowd favorite was having one of their bridesmaids and groomsmen read first conversations from their online dating profiles. Voices and all!

Post ceremony, we took what I like to call a “wedding party field trip” down California Street in hopes of getting a trolley car to stop. We lucked out!

Dinner reception followed upstairs with speeches and cake. During a trio speech one of the grooms saved a bird that flew in a window. Back downstairs I snuck Heather and James away for a quiet moment out on the patio as the sun was setting.

Love this city, loved this day and loved this time with these beautiful people! Great one for the books. Hope you enjoy some of my favorites below 🙂
