Pasadena is one of the best locations for a wedding in all of the Los Angeles area. It’s just close enough to the city but also just far enough away. Pasadena boosts a plenitude of historic venues [like Castle Green], great restaurants, beautiful hotels and splendid architecture.
I was so happy to capture Ingrid + Jaie’s wedding at the Ella Ballroom at Noor. The Ella is a fun, art deco inspired ballroom that seats 142 seated guests and 250 standing. This place is truly in the heart of historic old town, quietly tucked in the top corner of the Paseo.
Getting ready photos were at the Langham and the guys got ready at a nearby Airbnb, which I always recommend since there are really cool spaces you can utilize for getting ready photos.
We met up at Pasadena City Hall for a sweet first look and some bridal party photos. My favorite was our stroll upstairs. The sky just opened up and started sprinkling but the shots of Ingrid and Jaie looking out on the wet terrace are some of my favorites from the day. The Pasadena City Hall is usually crowded with other photo shoots but it makes for dramatic + quite luxurious photos — if you find a photographer who knows the tricks + hidden places ;p
We all walked down the street back to Noor for the indoor ceremony and reception to follow. Maybe the best part about Noor is they are allowed to have sparkler send-offs. 2021 Update: They are taking reservations up to 24 months out. Check their website for the latest.
Happy to share some of these happy moments:
